Raging floodwaters from a heavy overnight storm Sunday deposited a wave of trash along Soi Khao Noi in East Pattaya.
Sanya Tumtimsir, Pattaya’s chief sewage department officer, sent a work crew to clean the street June 22 after the latest flood to stream down from the railway-parallel road. Sanitation workers also were dispatched to clean out drainage pipes.
He said the flooding and garbage problems wouldn’t be so bad if people stopped dumping their waste into drains.
