A Sattahip fishing boat operator called on local police to find three men impersonating officers who extorted money off his Cambodian crewmen.

From the description provided by the crewmen, none appeared to be police, with the ring leader looking Middle Eastern and addressed with a Muslim nickname.
The Cambodians, who were gambling, were handcuffed and their belongings taken, including 2,900 baht. Once the three had taken their valuables, the crewmen were released and the gang fled.
Pairoj said he is sure the “officers” were not legitimate and called on authorities to find the impersonators.
