Thailand’s Ministry of Labor is joining with Pattaya’s Father Ray Foundation to host a July conference to encourage the hiring of disabled people in Asia.
The July 8-10 Workability Asia Conference 2015 will be held at the Hilton Pattaya with a goal to honor and continue the HM the King’s vision regarding the disabled and to exchange knowledge and create more opportunities for their employment.
Attending will be more than 350 disabled people, disabled-persons organizations, and government agencies in East Asia.
This project is co-sponsored with Workability Asia and Workability International and the NISE Corp to reinforce the cooperation of government, private, disability networks, and disabled organizations under the theme “together we can make a difference”.
Deputy Mayor Verawat Khakhay presides over the organizational meeting for the upcoming Workability Asia Conference 2015.
This conference can help develop skills of disabled workers to meet the qualifications demanded by the marketplace, to increase hiring, support operational management and to add value to businesses.
Pattaya and ministry officials will arrange a study activity for participants on July 10 to present suggestions to business operators. Moreover, a “Welcome Disability” sign will be given to businesses to display in Pattaya and roads along Pattaya Beach.
