Father Ray Foundation officials laid the cornerstone for the first permanent school building for the Nong Khai Redemptorist Vocational School, which is expected to open at the end of next year.
Nong Khai Deputy Gov. Wichian Piyawarakorn joined Father Ray Vice President Rev. Michael Picharn Jaiseri and foundation advisor police Gen. Pisan Wattanawongsiri in the northeastern province Nov. 30 for laying of the first foundation stone.

The Nong Khai Redemptorist Vocational School began instruction in 2009 on a boarding-school basis, with students getting accommodations and three meals a day. It also offered basic and non-formal education including management training, seminars and international services.
The first conventional school building, to be built on 20 rai of land, is being funded by Thai Pipe Industry Co. Father Ray officials in Pattaya hired U.D.P. Construction Co. to build the facility for 22.6 million baht. Work is scheduled for completion in November.
A second building is also planned, but will require 35 million baht in funding.
