A fire at a Naklua chicken coop killed the fighting cocks kept inside.
Firefighters took only minutes to extinguish the flames that enveloped the wood shack with a metal roof on Naklua Soi 17 Sept. 27. But by that time it was too late.
Owner Nikorn U-na, 42, said he had built the shack to house his fighting cocks and a pair of prized breeders so they wouldn’t be stolen.
But he said he went out and left a candle burning inside the shack. He returned home to find it in flames.
