Sale of flying lanterns and firecrackers are banned for Loy Krathong in Pattaya again this year.
Deputy Mayor Poramet Ngampichet said Nov. 15 municipal and Pattaya police, Banglamung District officials and volunteers will be patrolling to enforce the ban.
Street vendors only will be allowed to sell floating krathongs. All other items for sale will be seized.
Beach Road, Poramet said, will not be closed for Loy Krathong.
