The Satchatham Songkroh Buddhist Association laid the foundation stone for a new shrine to house the Rattana Baramee Buddha statue at its Viharn Hall in Bung District.
Public officials and community leaders from around Sriracha turned out for the April 17 ceremony.
The statue will offer a place for Bung-area Buddhists to pray for luck, good fortune, good health and prosperity.
