Banglamung District will provide shuttle services from 28 locations for those attending Pattaya’s royal funeral ceremony at Chaimongkol Temple.

District Chief Naris Niramaiwong chaired an Oct. 16 planning meeting on transport and traffic for the Oct. 26 ceremony, which will see major roads closed or turned into one-way routes.
Baht bus, metered cab and motorbike taxi operators attended to learn about parking areas and where they can pick up mourners.
There will be four stations for the parking areas – Second Road at Soi 15, Pattaya School No. 8, Third Road at South Road and the Grand Hall Market – with more than 500 traffic police officers and volunteers joining the transport drivers to keep things moving.
Parking will be available at Pattaya schools No. 2, 5, 7, 8 and 9; Banglamung and Photisampan Pittayakarn schools; Jittapawan College; Nong Yai, Boonkanjanaram, Kratingthong and Khao Phra Yai temples; Pattaya City Hall and the Songkratuengthong office (towards the southern end of Jomtien Beach); Tesco-Lotus North and South Pattaya; Big C Extra, Makro South Pattaya, Unica South Pattaya, Central Festival Pattaya Beach, Mike Shopping Center, Royal Garden Plaza and Central Marina malls, the Hollywood disco and the old X-Zyte disco car park on Third Road; Mum Aroi restaurant, Tawanna Market on Beach Road (past the Hard Rock Hotel) and under the Bali Hai flyover.
