Police said the four men, alleged members of the “Team Ting Gun” gang in Nongjabtao, attacked the couple around 4 a.m. Feb 22, disguising a facial-foam tube as a gun to hold Sarawut Borisut, 20, at bay while the three others dragged the woman into the woods near the helipad to rape he at knifepoint.
Two of the four accused rapists are brought out for the press.
The men allegedly also robbed her of 3,000 baht and took 1,000 baht from Sarawut before fleeing on motorbikes.
Pol Lt Gen Thanate Pinmuangnam, commander of Provincial Police Region 2, said the case garnered considerable public attention and damaged the image of tourism in Pattaya.
