A German man was hospitalized after collapsing in a Thepprasit Road hardware store from severe electrical burns.
Hans Joseph Jensen, 63, was burned and bloody after the Sept. 16 accident at his nearby home. He was transported to Bangkok Hospital Pattaya.
Chantana Chinnachot, a clerk at the Thong Charoen hardware shop, said the German was a regular customer who regularly bought items he needed to make improvements on his house.
Jensen told authorities that he was modifying a sunshade when he suffered a bad shock from one of the electric tools and passed out. He then stumbled to the hardware store to ask for help and collapsed.
