A Ghana man has been arrested for allegedly using a counterfeit credit card to go on a luxury shopping spree in Pattaya.
Kwabena Yeboah, 28, was apprehended at The Avenue galleria on Second Road Sept. 27 following a report from the Kasikorn Bank security department that someone had been using at least one fake card several Pattaya shopping malls.
Police recovered three credit cards, two with different names than the suspects on them. Police said Yeboah confessed to having more counterfeit cards in his Bangkok hotel room.
Investigators later found four more fake cards and equipment to make more. The African was charged with a slew of electronic card fraud charges.
