A heartbroken Canadian man slit his own wrist at a Pattaya bar after spotting his Uzbek girlfriend drinking with another man.
Mehdi Rsekh Ahmadi, 44, was bleeding profusely from the slit to one wrist in front of the Habibi phone shop on Soi 16 around 3 a.m. He was transported to Pattaya Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Witness Vasana Yusapaap, 36, said Ahmadi had seen the Uzbekistan woman with whom he’d been having a relationship drinking with another Middle Eastern man at a nearby bar. After unsuccessfully trying to convince her to get back together with him, he reportedly slit his wrist and ran from the bar.
