In celebration of Hilton Worldwide’s Global Month of Service, throughout October, more than 30 volunteers from Hilton Pattaya donated computer equipment to Pattaya City Schools 5 and 11 and helped spruce up their learning center. Community service is a century-old tradition for Hilton Worldwide, and throughout the year team members dedicate their time, passion and unique brand of hospitality to create positive change in their local communities. Hilton Pattaya’s efforts are a part of this month-long celebration of the company’s year-round commitment to serving and enriching the communities where we live, work and travel.
“We are delighted to take the lead on this community project and support Hilton Worldwide’s Global Month of Service. Our team members came up with a great idea that we should donate used computers and related equipment directly to nonprofit organizations or local schools. We provided 20 sets of refurbished computers to Pattaya City School 5 and 11. In additional to the computer equipment, Hilton Pattaya has provided the service of computer technicians to assist in the evaluation and repair,” said Rudolf Troestler, general manager at Hilton Pattaya.
Hilton Pattaya, led by GM Rudolf Troestler, celebrates the annual Hilton Worldwide Global Month of Service by donating computer equipment to Pattaya Schools 5 & 11.
“We would like to thank you Hilton Pattaya, for seeing it as a crucial factor to extend a helping hand to the community. We believed that these electrical goods will bring the student access to computer technology,” said Jirasak Jitsom, director of Pattaya School 11.
Global Month of Service is Hilton Worldwide’s largest annual community service initiative and mobilizes hundreds of thousands of Team Members from every region to engage in numerous volunteer events and activities happening around the world. Volunteers offer their time to support a wide range of projects including conserving natural resources, mentoring and training young people, creating amenity care packages for communities in need, collecting surplus food and distributing to underserved communities and aiding local communities devastated by disaster.
Since its inaugural service celebration in 2012, Hilton volunteers have provided support to more than 6,700 projects worldwide contributing more than 300,000 hours of community service. Last year in just one week, Hilton hosted more than 3,500 projects in 86 countries, volunteering more than 150,000 hours. The company aims to complete 3,750 projects across its global footprint.
