HRH Princess Chulabhorn thanked volunteers and visited patients at Chonburi’s Princess’ Mother Medical Volunteer Foundation.

Her Highness arrived via helicopter at Ban Muenjit School’s helipad and was welcomed by Gov. Khomsan Ekachai July 13 for their visit to the PMMVF, which serves Muenjit residents in Khlongkew Sub-district.

Sponsors presented HRH the Princess with donations, such as vehicles and medicine, as well as cash to cover food expenses while working for the foundation.

HRH the Princess, in turn, awarded those donating their time and service official volunteer broaches and plaques. She then visited patients.

The foundation currently has 1,679 doctors, dentists, pharmacists and volunteers on its service list. Of those, 729 are public health volunteers and 302 general volunteers.

Chonburi runs PMMVF “doctor at home” programs in 13 villages and last year saw 1,546 patients. Another 3,310 patients took advantage of mobile medical services. Another 197 received service at a health expo at Ban Phan Sadet School in Bo-win Sub-district in Sriracha.
