Officials from the northeastern India state of Nagaland paid a visit to the Pattaya area to study Nongprue Sub-district’s management.
Mayor Mai Chaiyanit welcomed the delegation led by R. Tohanba, municipal affairs officer from the state capital of Kohima, Dec. 14.
Secretary Pramote Thapthim spoke to the guests about the operations of the sub-district government as well as social-welfare programs.
Thoughts and opinions were exchanged during the occasion and the Indian council members took interest in community development as well as tourist attractions and other related sectors.
Another interest was Thai culture as they looked into traditional events including buffalo racing, longboat racing, Loy Krathong, traditional dance competitions and other annual events.
Furthermore, the foreign council members were introduced to the electricity and water management systems so that they use the knowledge to develop their communities in India.
They even took interest in exercise activities to keep fit and joint community activities such as open markets and more.
