Several Indian tourists were hurt when their speedboat sank in heavy seas in Pattaya Bay.
Tour guide Supaporn Khetkaew said she took 23 Indian tourists by boat to Koh Sak. On the way back, the speedboat was pounded by big waves and sprung a leak. It sank quickly about 1.5
kilometers from Pattaya and several passengers suffered cuts and bruises.
They were treated on the mainland and sent back to their hotel.
In response, Ekaraj Khantaro, head of the Marine Department, ordered smaller boats to remain on shore until the stormy seas subsided.
