Several more tourists reported stings from tiny jellyfish that continue to wash ashore in Jomtien Beach.
The seasonal phenomenon, which coincides with the breeding season for jellyfish, resulted in both Thais and foreigners being sent to the hospital for the painful, but non-lethal, stings.
The jellyfish are small and not easily seen.
Some beach-goers said that the city should have officers posted at the beach on days when jellyfish concentrations are high to warn swimmers.
