A Koh Larn jet ski vendor has been arrested on suspicion of raping a Japanese tourist.
Tourist Police officers apprehended Rattana Halit, 34, on Sept. 24 with the jet ski vendor denying the charges.
The suspect claimed he and the victim hit it off and after her jet ski ride they took off on his motorbike, stopping for several drinks before having consensual sex. Several days later, however, the tourist filed a police report that she was raped.
He was held on rape charges pending further investigation.
