Journalists association holds New Year’s party

The Pattaya Journalists Association hosts a belated New Year’s celebration, offering best wishes to Mayor Itthiphol Kunplome.

More than 60 journalists turned out for the Jan. 20 event at the Khun Por restaurant in Soi Siam Country Club.

Itthiphol gave away more than 50,000 baht in prizes to guests, including up to 5,000 baht cash.

The party was fully supported by senior members of local government agencies, police and private organizations, including Pol. Col. Sukthat Pumpunmuang, the new superintendent of the Pattaya Police Station, Pol. Col. Pramote Ngampradit, new superintendent of the Nongprue Police Station, Taweepong Wichaidit, general manager of the Designated Areas for Sustainable Tourism Administration, Sinchai Wattanasartsathorn, the president of the Pattaya Business & Tourism Association and Jantiman Siriphosasuk, president of the Pattaya Issan Association.

The New Year’s party is hosted annually by the Pattaya Journalists Association, which continues to grow.

President Amporn Saengkaew said he was glad to see younger journalists working together as a team and urged them to do their best to make Pattaya known worldwide, as well as keeping local residents informed.
