Khet Udomsak invited religious leaders of all beliefs to a forum focused on ridding the Sattahip sub-district of drugs.

Deputy Mayor Supachai Nimanong hosted the July 14 meeting of 300 people at Al Huda Mosque in Sattahip.

Supachai said drugs have become a serious problem for Thailand and affect people’s peace in family, society and country. One strategy to combat narcotics trafficking has been to strengthen unity in communities.

The Klong Kanda Community brainstormed the idea of bringing in Buddhist, Christian, and Muslim leaders to be a part of the solution.

Organizers hoped it would spur understanding and good intentions among people to create love and unity in the community.
