A Sattahip sub-district educated 100 disabled residents and caretakers about their rights under the law.
Khet Udomsak Mayor Pairoj Malakul Na Ayutthaya opened the May 15 seminar at the sub-district office.
Kanpicha Kitsawangsak of the Chonburi Social Development and Human Security Department, spoke about Thailand’s various disability laws and government welfare and education programs to improve their quality of life.
The goal, she said, is to give the disabled more opportunities to participate in society and become self-sufficient.
