A Khon Kaen woman came to the rescue of a Pattaya-area man who dropped his wallet in a Thepprasit Road shopping mall.
Jiratsaya Petchruanmakha, 31, turned in to Pattaya police Dec. 6 a wallet belonging to Yutapoom Yana, 52, a Nongprue resident who works with a company that does international trading of electric pumps.
Jiratsaya, a teacher at Mahachulalongkornraja-vidyalaya University in Khon Kaen, said she was shopping with relatives at the Premium Outlet Mall when she found the wallet containing 5,000 baht, credit cards and important documents.
Jiratsaya Petchruanmakha found Yutapoom Yana’s wallet and was eventually able to return it.
Police contacted Yutapoom, who came to the police station with a big smile and thanked Jiratsaya for being so honest. He added he thought all Thai people should have this attitude.
