Koh Sichang government officials were tested for drug use during a regular meeting of local administrators.
About 50 district and sub-district administrators, village chiefs and defense volunteers had their urine tested for illegal narcotics. All passed the test.
District Chief Thawat Suwan said the test, performed after each regular meeting of local administrators, complies with the government’s directive that no provincial, district or sub-district administrator can hold office after being found to have used drugs.
