
Pattaya will host two “Kong Khao” ceremonies at Lan Po Public Park and Nongyai Temple to bring Songkran to a close.
The “rice piling” festivals begin at 9 a.m. on April 20 and features traditional Thai games throughout the day including sea boxing, slingshots, oily pole climbing and rattan ball shooting.
After 5 p.m. (after 6 p.m. at Nongyai Temple) participants will gather to pile up goods and invite the spirits for a feast.
Nongyai also held a sand pagoda creation event on April 17.
People attending are urged to wear traditional Thai dress or Songkran flowered shirts.
