Pickpocketing by Beach Road transvestites is common, but video of them actually doing it is not.
Pattaya resident Panya Patjai, however, turned over closed-circuit television camera footage of a Polish man having his wallet taken by a ladyboy at around 3 a.m. Jan. 2.
The 46-year-old victim already has returned home and police have not been able to find the sticky-fingered streetwalker.
The video showed the transvestite, standing about 170 centimeters tall, pull up to the Polish tourist on a motorbike, accost him and lift his wallet before jumping on the bike and speeding away with US$1,000.
The video did not capture the license plate, however.
Panya said he released the video as a warning to those walking Pattaya Beach at night.
