The second Mabprachan Walk & Eat market is on again weekends in Pong Sub-district with more than 100 stalls offering food, drink and gifts for the high season.

Pong Deputy Mayor Anucha Pienjai opened the first weekend market Nov. 24 at the reservoir. The market continues weekends through Feb. 10.

The Walk & Eat festival features booths for goods and services provided by local residents to boost the local economy and cultural exchange.

Moreover, it aims to show off Pong’s traditions and culture in such things as local food specialties and arts.

Turnout for the first weekend was up over the inaugural market last year and organizers hope it gains momentum throughout December and January.

The market also offers a free stage for local musical performers. Anyone interested in performing should call 094-890-4029.
