Torn-up roads in East Pattaya should be smooth and flood-free in July after construction to lay new drainage pipes concludes in July.
Nongprue Mayor Mai Chaiyanit said work near the intersection of Mabyailia Soi 2 and Nongyai Soi 5 is nearly complete.

The new drainage tunnels were demanded by residents who noted the area dips lower than surrounding streets, becoming a basin for storm runoff.
Work began in mid-April on the 500-meter stretch of roadway and was 70 percent complete by June 2. The entire job is scheduled to be completed next month.
