A makeshift dump that appeared along Thepprasit Soi 7 has been cleaned up by city hall.

Sanitation chief Sanya Tubtimsri led a work crew to the wooded area along the Jomtien Beach street Aug. 31. Ten workers used heavy machinery and hand tools to remove furniture, construction scraps and garbage illegally dumped there.

While they were in the neighborhood, the workers also trimmed branches and cleared brush to discourage dumpers.

It’s not the first time the area has become a trash dump. Work crews did the same job earlier this year.
