Pattaya sanitation workers have fenced off a vacant Naklua field after people had turned it into a makeshift garbage dump.
A work crew used an excavator to remove the rubbish and construction waste from the land adjacent to Wonderland 2 Village off North Road May 6 following numerous complaints.
People had dumped wooden boards, cement blocks and a mixture of non-recyclable rubbish. It took workers an entire day to clear the field.
Afterward, they erected a 25-meter-long, 1.8-meter-tall fence topped with barbed wire to keep the miscreants away.
