Sattahip Police received a call on Sept. 11 that a man’s body had been found lying next to an abandoned vehicle on Highway 332, close to Moo 7 village in Bang Saray.
Once at the scene, officers discovered the corpse of 67-year old bus driver Pongsak Srisuwan collapsed in roadside bushes. Close by was a bronze colored Toyota Camry which still had its engine idling.
Upon further examination police officers found an expired asthma inhaler in one of the deceased’s pockets and diabetes medicine in the car. Pongsak’s trousers were partially unbuttoned and there was evidence of used tissue paper lying close by, leading police to speculate that he had made an emergency toilet stop to seek relief in nearby bushes but had succumbed to one of his chronic ailments during the process.
Pol. Lt. Col. Pattananan Somnuan from Sattahip police station said there was no immediate suggestion of any foul play but the body was sent to Sattahip Hospital for further examination and autopsy.
