Pattaya, Thailand – In a tragic incident on June 28, a man was found dead after falling from his 4th floor hotel balcony on Soi 16/3, Pattaya-Naklua Road. The deceased, identified as Phuwatsit Chailangka, 48, was wearing black trousers but no shirt. Preliminary examination revealed a broken neck, severe skull fractures, and significant bleeding.
Authorities examined the deceased man’s room, where no signs of struggle or vandalism were found. The room was orderly, with belongings neatly arranged. Vomit stains were visible on the bed, and on the deceased man’s shirt and a shoulder bag. A pair of sneakers belonging to the deceased was found at the foot of the bed.
Kajonsak Chongmangkang the hotel caretaker, told police that the deceased had checked in the night before and appeared to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Chongmangkang reported hearing a loud noise resembling an explosion, leading to the tragic discovery.
Police investigations suggest that the deceased, potentially working as a guide, may have vomited on the balcony before the fatal incident. Further examination of the evidence will be conducted at the forensic institute of the police hospital to determine the exact cause of death.
