A Sattahip District man who tried to flee police capture was arrested for drug dealing after being caught in a banana plantation.
Rattapong Kaewjinda, 20, was apprehended Dec. 9 with five methamphetamine tablets and 400 baht given to him by police undercover agents.
His arrest came from information provided by Chanjira Sammachiwa, 22, during interrogation for a drug-dealing arrest.
Police set up fake drug buy at Rattapong’s home in a navy housing development in Plutaluang. But once the money was taken for the ya ba, he realized it was a trap and ran, only to be caught among the banana trees.
Police caught up with Rattapong Kaewjinda who ran into a banana plantation when he realized he had just sold ya ba to and undercover agent.
