The Centara Grand Mirage Beach Resort thanked the media for coverage over the past year with a “Jungle in the Lost World” party.
General Manager Andre Brulhart and top executives welcomed reporters to the hotel’s Coast Beach Club & Bistro Nov. 7.
The party was a light-hearted affair, with media members showing up dressed as gorillas, cavemen, Native Americans and more in hopes of winning prizes and praise.
The correspondents also were give a tour around the hotel, participated in games and went swimming after having a meal.
Guests were treated with welcome cocktails mixed by experienced bartenders. This was followed by a large buffet with a variety of seafood, sushi, Thai and international foods.
A stage was set in the center area of the Coast for shows, dancing and entertainment.
Wanida Lopisanchai of Trip Around Thai won the award for best men’s costume while Umaporn Ratchatawattanakul from Siam Party won the women’s contest.
There was also a prize for the team costumes, which was given to the BTV Cable Company as they came as the Flintstones family.
Apart from costumes, another prize was given to the person who shares the Centara Grand Mirage Beach Resort Facebook Page with the most likes, and that prize went to Kawin Uthaisiri from STV.
Prizes included free accommodation vouchers for the resort as well as dinner vouchers and more.
