Pattaya officials laid out what help residents can receive from the city during floods and other disasters during a meeting with community leaders.
Disaster Relief and Mitigation Department Chief Nisawuth Paonin chaired the Sept. 21 meeting with representatives from Pattaya communities.
He said heavy rain and repeated flooding has left many people’s property damaged, including during the Sept. 16 tropical depression. Many residents since have filed applications for relief.
Nisawuth noted that while some have received help from the city, others have received none and others only a bit.
The meeting was called to explain what help people can receive and how to apply for it.
