A jumble of utility wires has jolted residents near Wat Boonsampan School to call for a cleanup on Soi Khao Talo.
Residents called the media June 25 to complain about the messy wires at the entrance of the soi that, they claim, have been left unattended for a year.
The wires are so heavy some of the utility poles are starting to lean. It is the same area where a pole broke on March 8, killing a utility worker clearing internet cabling.
The cable, telephone and internet cables are mixed in with live electricity lines, which pedestrians see as a safety threat. People have begun to avoid the area, as some of the wires are drooping and even touching the ground.
