A popular Third Road club is facing closure after underage drinkers, drugs and a gun were found during an after-hours raid.

Banglamung District Chief Naris Niramaiwong led a squad of police and soldiers to the Apple Pub around 4:30 a.m. Sept. 6, well after its legal closing time.

About 150 revelers were detained. Of those, 18 were found to be underage and seven lacked identification cards. Thirty people failed drug tests, including popular deejay Karisorn “MC Mangkorn” Saelai.

All were arrested, as was owner Sipinda Ratanayenjai.

Searching the nightclub, officers found eight bags of ketamine, 14 bags of crystal methamphetamine and two Ecstasy tablets lying on the floor.

Sipinda was charged with violating closing-time laws, selling alcoholic drinks after hours, allowing people under 20 to enter the premises, allowing drug abuse, allowing a pistol to be brought into the venue, and allowing people without an ID card to enter.

The club now faces a five-year closure.
