The body of a missing Huay Yai man was found floating in the sea off Pattaya’s Near Islands.
Somyot Chuasamut, 65, went missing Dec. 7 and was pulled from the ocean by a speedboat crew after three days, about two nautical miles off of Koh Sak.
Daughter Ornjana Yaemsri, 21, claimed the body from Pattaya police. She said her father had taken a boat out to hunt for squid near Koh Jun. He never returned and she was unable to reach him via mobile phone.
It’s believed Somyot fell overboard and drowned. There were no signs of foul play on the body.
