A driver who didn’t see a large hole on Sukhumvit Road plunged headfirst into it.
No one was hurt in the Nov. 18 accident near Central Road.
Witnesses said the driver of the white Mitsubishi pickup truck pulled out of Soi Nok Khao and drove right into a stretch of Sukhumvit fenced off with barriers. It then plunged into a hole opened by the Provincial Electricity Authority to bury power and utility wires.
PEA roadwork on Sukhumvit, Third Road and at Bali Hai Pier continues through 5 p.m. Nov. 22.
