A local government worker was arrested for allegedly dealing drugs.
District Chief Phawat Lertmukda and National Command Center for Drugs set up the Dec. 10 sting operation that nabbed Surapong Puangnak, 31, an employee in the health department for an unnamed municipality. He was caught with 10 methamphetamine tablets in the arrest on Soi Wat Khaokantamat
Phawat alleged Surapong was using his position as a city worker to cover his real career as a drug dealer to residents in surrounding areas.
Police said he confessed he has been dealing drugs for a long time and was only working for the municipality to disguise himself.
