Muted entertainment in Pattaya, flags at half-staff

Flags in Pattaya will fly at half-staff for a month and the city’s entertainment venues were told to tone it down in mourning for the passing of His Majesty the King.

Government offices, schools, hospitals, police states, state enterprises and charity foundations all followed the Royal Household Bureau directive to fly flags nationwide at half-staff for 30 days following the Oct. 13 death of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej.

Meanwhile, Pattaya police chief Pol. Col. Apichai Krobpetch said Chonburi’s provincial governor issued an order allowing entertainment venues to open, but tone down the music and fun with no parties allowed for 30 days.
