After missing their September deadline, Pattaya officials now claim the new parking garage at the Naklua Market will be completed in February.
Pattaya Mayor Poramet Ngampichet and Deputy Mayor Wuttisak Rermkijakarn inspected the five-story structure built by SK Pattaya Construction Development Co. on Dec. 6. Construction is complete and landscaping is about 80% done, Poramet said.
In July, Poramet said the garage would be done by September.
The garage can accommodate 239 vehicles. Infrared sensors will monitor how many spots remain available in real time. There also will be electric vehicle charging stations located outside the building.
The garage also will have elevators and restroom on every floor.
