Sattahip Naval Base Savings and Credit Cooperative Ltd. handed out more than a million baht in scholarships to members’ children.
Bank chairman Adm. Sukitti Sanigmpong presided over the Oct. 19 ceremony at the Sattahip Naval Base. He said the co-op has been allocating some of its profits to support the education of members’ children for 18 years.
This year, 403 members applied for scholarships with the bank donating 1.2 million baht and Saha Life Insurance Co. kicking in 50,000 baht.
The scholarship project aims to encourage members and promote education to members, who navy personnel.
