The Royal Thai Navy has mobilized 300 personnel and 30 trucks of equipment to aid Thai flood victims.

Rear Adm. Chainarong Khaowiset, chief of the navy’s Disaster Relief Center, inspected preparations at Sattahip’s Air and Coastal Defense Command Sept. 25.

ACDC deputy commander Capt. Prayuth Phuthien said personnel have packed equipment into 30 large trucks capable of navigating flooded areas, as well as minibuses, cars and mid-sized trucks. Supplies include cooking gear, ready-to-eat meals and other relief supplies.

Chainarong said the navy is closely monitoring this year’s flood patterns to determine when and where to send aid.
