A Royal Thai Navy private was injured after crashing his truck on a cliff-side road in Plutaluang.
Pvt. Sukhee Janthages, 23, was thrown from his Isuzu pickup and was found unconscious following the Feb. 12 accident on Phukaung Hill. He was taken to Queen Sirikit Naval Medical Center for treatment.
The accident scene was a two-lane, S-shaped road on the edge of a steep cliff. Long tire skid marks and scattered soil and rocks were found at the site.
Friend, Pvt. Satawas Matayakhun, 21, claimed the victim was most likely speeding while driving from home to buy food.
Emergency rescue staff tend to the injured private.
