Nearly 250 Royal Thai Navy sailors were dispatched to the southeastern seas at a troop-rotation ceremony in Sattahip.

Rear Adm. Sanon Pa-em, commander of the Air and Land Combat Command, chaired the ceremony at the Sattahip Naval Base March 25.

Monks from the eastern region were invited to conduct religious ceremonies and bless the sailors.

The 246 sailors will rotate in to Navy Region 5, which patrols border areas of the Gulf of Thailand in Koh Kut, Chanthaburi, Trat and Songkhla provinces.
