A Sriracha woman caught a toddler who climbed out a second-story window and fell from the roof.
Piyanuch Supatsorn, 34, said she was preparing to leave her house in The Tung Sukala area of Laem Chabang April 24 when she heard what sounded like a cat crying. She went outside to find it was a 2-year-old girl sliding down the slick, hot roof of her neighbor’s house.
Piyanuch, who works at home selling products online, called for help, but no one came. As the toddler slid off the roof, she ran over and caught the girl as she fell off the 3-meter high roof. Neither child nor rescuer were hurt.
The girl’s frantic mother said the toddler had been taking a nap and apparently woke to find her bedroom door closed. To get out, she then climbed out a window, but found herself on a hot roof. The burning tiles left blisters on the girl’s feet.
The mother said she learned her lesson to both block the child’s window and keep a closer eye on her child.
