Boot camp has begun for more than 4,000 new Royal Thai Navy recruits in Sattahip.
Capt. Wiwat Hajarern opened the new term at the Naval Recruit Training Center Nov. 5 with 3,821 cadets assembling.
Over the coming months, recruits will undertake marine education, weapons handling, disaster prevention, infantry training, physical exams and general education.
Wiwat said training also stresses how to live the navy lifestyle, get along with fellow sailors and become strong mentally.
