Nong Plalai launched its new recycling campaign with a parade to collect plastic bottles and other reusable trash.
Deputy Mayor Lae Boonsang led civil servants in the Aug. 1 procession that began at Sa Bua Market.
The parade was meant to raise awareness about the need to separate waste from recyclables and bring them to the sub-district’s recycling center.
Staffers collected plastic bottles and other recyclables along the way, with many residents saying they planned to step up their efforts to recycle.
