
Nong Plalai’s Pasutipawan Temple has unveiled seven new Buddha statues worth more than 2 million baht.
Abbot Wiboondhammakij Pathumsiro presided over the official installation of the four-meter-long sleeping Buddha and six life-size “Luang Poh” statues June 11 with officials from other Pattaya-area temples attending.
Current and former Pattaya administrators joined in a morning merit-making ceremony and presented the monks with a morning meal after their chanting session.
The statues were created on Dec. 5, the birthday of HM the late King Rama IX. The six life-size statues were created in the styles of Luang Pho Man, Luang Thamahabua Yansampan, and Luang Poh Boonmee Akkapunno, Phra Phutkosajarn, Phra Yansangwan, and Phra Dhammawisutmongkol.
