Local social-welfare agencies came to the aid of five Nongprue families who adopted children, supporting them with monthly stipends for a year.
Sub-district Deputy Mayor Anak Pattanangam and Thitirath U-Kasem, manager for the Chonburi Development and Rehabilitation Home, presented the first of twelve 2,000-baht payments to five women to invest in their careers or family expenses Feb. 24 at Nongprue’s municipal hall.
Each family will receive a total 24,000 baht, for a total outlay of 120,000 baht by the municipality.

Recipients were: Amporn Teaarang and her adopted 9-year-old son, Aree Inthisorn and adopted 7-year-old daughter, Boonsom Seangthong who has an adopted 9-year-old son, Jamrat Charoensuk who adopted a 13-year-old girl, and Thongmak Nikomkam, who adopted a 15-year-old girl.
